Second Chance Mentoring

  • A three-year federal grant from Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance awarded to Going Home Hawai'i in 2018.
  • Develop a strong partnership with the State of Hawai'i Department of Public Safety.
  • Match offenders from Hawai'i Community Correctional Center (HCCC) with mentors recruited from the community.
  • Mentors and mentees receive on-going training and support throughout the re-integration process.
  • Mentoring increases public safety and reduces recidivism.
